Coming up in the next couple of months we have:

Non-Food Item Sale
A great opportunity to get on with some early Christmas shopping, a massive 10% off all non-food items for four days only! We will be stocking a huge range of unusual fish inspired gifts for your shopping enjoyment.
Thursday December 11th
The Grand Finale
Coinciding with Ashburton’s late night shopping, there will be an abundance of tasters highlighting our tapas to go range, and there will plenty of mulled local cider on hand to keep the wheels of commerce well oiled.
The past eight months have included:
Mussel Tasting Day in March – The plump beauties that we got from Barry and Martin Sessions (the last mussel producers on the River Teign) were cooked up in a variety of ways for our customers to try or take away for lunch.
Sushi and Sashimi Making in April – We demonstrated this Japanese food/art form, highlighting the importance of using ultra fresh sustainable local fish.
Food and Foraging Day in May - Local chef and experienced forager David Beasley came in to reveal local foraged foods and give expert advice on what is in season to forage for.
Fish Filleting Day in June - We get asked all the time for tips on the skills of filleting, therefore we took the opportunity to give hands on advice and got you involved in filleting.
Saturday 26th July
Char-Grill Fish and Sea Shanty Day
Setting up outside the shop with sizzling fish kebabs, fish burgers and sashimi tuna to order, and to top it all off local singers & musicians serenaded us with sea shanty songs.
Saturday 16th August
Oyster Shucking & Organic Fizz
Shucking local oysters to order, and anyone who wanted to try to open the devilish difficult bi-halves had a good go, others enjoyed a glass of Organic bubbles with an oyster for just two squid!
Saturday 13th September
The Annual Food Festival in Ashburton brought all the foodies to town. There was be lots going on all over Ashburton and at The Fish Deli wecooked Paella on the Street to get into the festival spirit.

Saturday 18th October
Crab Picking & Cooking
This is the peak time for hen crabs, the female crab has been fattening up before spawning around Christmas so lots of sweet juicy white meat and loads of creamy brown meat packed to the gunnels, we featured lots of crab dishes for tasting and for taking home.
